My Layout

This Layout was designed in cooperation with my boyfriend. It has a lot of meaning and actually could have been, in my mind, used as the image for the book, which is why I feel like I should dedicate an entire page to it.

The layout is a phoenix, rising from the ashes, hence where the name of my blog came from. The phoenix is known for it ability, within legend to regenerate itself from the ashes of it's own demise. A phoenix, you see is an immortal creature in the sense that when it gets to old, it will set itself on fire, killing itself. However, it rebirths from the ashes created from the fire. This bird is seen in the Harry Potter books from year two onward, when Harry meet Fawks in Professor Dumbledore's office. He is consistantly saving lives as well as helping the progression of the regeneration through out the book. There is an entire society named "The Order of The Phoenix." Which is an order to work to bring down Voldemort and create a new world without war and a place without evil.

The spirals are also a form of regeneration, the Fibonacci Spiral, as we learned is a symbol of regeneration and continuance of life. Which is why the spirals are incorporated into my design. They're not perfect, as we didn't have the tools to make them so, but I still feel as though they have an impact. They also represent the smoke from the ashes, which is what the phoenix is regenerated from.

 I wanted to explain my reasoning behind this. I didn't find a template I felt fit my theme and what I wanted to portray, so I got a little help and created my own.
